Made from Montepulciano grown on the north-east-facing, calcareous clay slope next to the cellar. The grapes are destemmed and fermented with their skins for around two weeks in a large, open oak vat, before being gently pressed and aged in oak for at least two years. And one year in bottle. A deep yet fresh red, with wild berries, violets, balsamic herbs and liquorice, balanced by fine tannins and a distinct mineral edge.
